Assignment #9

[09.) 3D PRINTED HOLLOW FORM OBJECT: CONCEPT GENERATION]

For the finial project we created six vessels and were partnered with a classmate to create a hybrid object. I was partnered with Holly and above is the finial object we created.

My Objects (Below)
Hollys Objects (Below) ***note one object is missing because I could not find the original file
These are the six objects vessels we made.

These two objects on the side are what we decided to use for our hybrid object. During our planning we decided to make a vase like vessel. We had trouble trying to merge our two objects together, but we took inspiration from a former students blogpost and decided to take the angular shaped from my object and create a design that would sit/ care into Hollys object.

These are our sketches and planning.

This is the object that we formed on Rhino7 we stretched and bent the form to wrap around the main body of the vessel then used BooleanDiffernce to merge them together.

As we put our object into Prusa Slic3r we realized that something was wrong and examined our object again. Eventually, we realized that there were some faults created when we used BooleanDiffernce.

The issue was that the object was not a closed polysurface and the cuts we made were faulty.

Our prof. Bryan recreated our final object that would be printed.

This is our printed object.
