Image
[08.) PAPERCRAFT OBJECTS: FINAL REVISION] Sadly, I didn't have enough time I was not able to create big changes to my object and was unable to get the project finished.  Under is the changes I made to the model and the template For this model I added eyes and a nose, I also adjusted where the head sat so that it would hold stronger and changed the shapes of the feet and tail.  During the first prototype I notices that the tail was very small and skinny so it was difficult to make.  New forms

Assignment #9

[09.) 3D PRINTED HOLLOW FORM OBJECT: CONCEPT GENERATION] For the finial project we created six vessels and were partnered with a classmate to create a hybrid object. I was partnered with Holly and above is the finial object we created.  My Objects (Below) Hollys Objects (Below) ***note one object is missing because I could not find the original file These are the six objects vessels we made.    These two objects on the side are what we decided to use for our hybrid object. During our planning we decided to make a vase like vessel. We had trouble trying to merge our two objects together, but we took inspiration from a former students blogpost and decided to take the angular shaped from my object and create a design that would sit/ care into Hollys object.  These are our sketches and planning.  This is the object that we formed on Rhino7 we stretched and bent the form to wrap around the main body of the vessel then used BooleanDiffernce to merge them togethe...

Assignment #6 [PAPERCRAFT: RESEARCH]

Image
[06.) PAPERCRAFT: RESEARCH] For the next project we creating our own papercrafts, and in preparation and inspiration we were tasked to research few papercraft artists. The paper craft artist I chose to write about is Hoang Tien Quyet.                                                                                   https://www.thisiscolossal.com/2015/05/wet-fold-origami/ Hoang Tien Quyet is a Vietnamese origami sculpture artist. Out of all the artists listed, I felt the most drawn to Quyet`s work because I am familiar with origami and its significance in culture. As someone who grew up making origami, I was quite surprised that somebody would make their entire practice making something so trivial, but as I started looking at Quyet`s work I ...

Assignment #3 [MESH MASHUP: SELECTION AND REFINEMENT]

Image
[03.) MESH MASHUP: SELECTION AND REFINEMENT]   Hello,  For the third assignment, I have decided to use my sculpture mashup. I was not able to attend the class that week and sadly was not able to receive any feedback. The concept for this mash-up was the phrase  the world does not revolve around you  with this idea I thought it would be interesting to explore the relationship that humans have with the earth.   Personally, I am a big fan of remix and read/write culture. As an artist originally plays a huge role, but we cannot disregard the origins and inspirations of all things created. One of my favorite quotes is  nothing is original , the quote means to express that all ideas/ creations come from something preexisting, therefore nothing is original. This project relates to Remix culture as we are taking existing models from a source (Thingiverse) and are using those objects to create our own mashup creations. The mashup I created takes from...
