Assignment #2 [MESH MASHUP: CONCEPT GENERATION]

[02. Mesh MashUp: Concept Generation]

This assignment is an exploration of Remix Culture. Taking two or more objects from the website thingiverse we are creating 10 or more different mashups! 

1. In the first mashup, I decided to combine two different types of vehicles. There was not too much thought put into this mashup, but I thought it would be interesting if boats had jet engines.

2. For the second mashup, I combined a chair with wheels. This object could potentially be an interesting piece of furniture or a comfy casual means of transportation for those who are not physically able to stand.

3. For the third mashup, I combined a skull with a vase. As classic ceramic pitchers have a historical context, I thought that it would be visually interesting to have a skull attached as if the objects merged over time.

4. For the fourth mashup, I combined a duck and a teapot. As I looked through the objects that I have chosen I noticed that the shape of the duck and the teapot would integrate quite well creating a sculpture like teapot.

5. For the fifth mashup, I created a bench using a torso bust held up by knives. I thought that this would create a morally disturbing piece of furniture as the idea of sitting on a human figure is quite odd, especially when the force created when sitting would stress the idea of pain as it is held by knives.

6. For the sixth mashup, I created a building that has no purpose or function. I feel that this could be an interesting addition to someone's aquarium.

7.  For the seventh mashup, I created a portable potty! Inspired by the robot fridge that comes when called, I thought it would be quite funny if there was a robot toilet that came when called for.

8. This eighth mashup is a table fan that could be a quirky decoration for a dentist.

9. The ninth mash up is a sculpture. This mashup can criticize the division of people and the earth, as humans function separately from all other creatures.

10.  The last mashup would function as a lamp/candle holder, it is made up of random objects that have no relation to a lamp/candle holder.
